The ChatGPT Pro plan includes unlimited access to OpenAI’s latest reasoning models, such as o1 and o1 mini, as well as GPT-4o. Subscribers will also gain access to o1 Pro mode, a feature optimized for handling complex queries through enhanced computational capabilities. The plan incorporates advanced voice interaction tools, positioning it as a comprehensive package for professional users.
ChatGPT Pro complements OpenAI’s existing subscription options, which include ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise. While the Plus tier, priced at $20 per month (around Rs 1,700), continues to offer early access to features and all existing models, it does not include the newly introduced o1 model. The diversified subscription strategy highlights OpenAI's efforts to commercialize its AI solutions further.
OpenAI’s move to a for-profit model underscores its strategic focus on expanding AI applications. The company has also entered the online search space with an AI-driven search engine, a development that places it in direct competition with Google. Reports suggest OpenAI is building an advertising framework for its flagship ChatGPT platform, supported by recent hires from leading tech firms such as Meta and Google.
